Refund and Cancellation Policy

Version 2026-08-22 · Last updated 22 August 2026

This policy explains how to cancel a MeshCrunch subscription, when a refund is available, and what happens to your assets afterwards. It forms part of the Terms of Service.

1. Who takes the payment

MeshCrunch subscriptions are sold and processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record for the transaction. Your payment is made to Paddle, your invoice comes from Paddle, and a refund is issued by Paddle back to the original payment method.

Puneet Mishra, trading as MeshCrunch operates the service itself. You can raise a refund or billing question with either of us; requests sent to support@meshcrunch.com are actioned through Paddle on your behalf.

2. The 14-day money-back window

You can request a full refund of your first payment for a plan within 14 days of that payment, for any reason. You do not need to justify the request, and you do not need to have left the service unused — processing models is what the plan is for.

The window runs from the date the first payment for that subscription was taken. If you subscribe, cancel, and later subscribe again to the same plan, the window applies to the first payment only.

3. Renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Renewal payments are not refundable, because cancelling at any point before a renewal date prevents that charge entirely — see the next section.

Paddle emails a receipt for every payment, including renewals, so a charge is never the first you hear of it.

4. Cancelling

Cancel at any time from Account → Manage billing in Studio, which opens Paddle's billing portal. Cancellation is immediate in the sense that no further payment is taken; your paid features remain active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and the plan then reverts to Free.

We do not pro-rate a partial period. You keep what you paid for rather than receiving part of it back, which is why cancelling early costs you nothing beyond the period already purchased.

5. What happens to your assets

Cancelling does not delete anything by itself. Your account reverts to the Free plan, and the Free plan's limits then apply to it — including its shorter retention window and its storage cap.

  • Assets already stored keep the retention deadline they were given. Reverting to Free does not retroactively shorten it.
  • New uploads and new results are given the Free plan's retention window.
  • If your library is over the Free storage cap, existing assets are not deleted — but new uploads are refused until you delete enough to fit. Download anything you want to keep before cancelling.

6. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, Paddle retries it and emails you. During that period the subscription is past due and paid features are unavailable, but the subscription is not cancelled and no data is deleted. Updating your payment method in the billing portal restores access once the payment succeeds.

7. When a refund will not be given

Outside the 14-day window, refunds are at our discretion. We will normally decline one where the account has been used in breach of the Acceptable Use Policy, or where a chargeback has already been raised for the same payment.

A job that fails is not a billing matter and does not need a refund request. It does consume a processing credit — every submitted job does, because the work is attempted either way — but a credit is an allowance, not a charge, and no money changes hands over one. Tell us at support@meshcrunch.com and we will investigate the job itself.

8. How to request a refund

Email support@meshcrunch.com from the address on your account, or use the contact form at /contact. Include the email address on the invoice. You do not need to give a reason for a request inside the 14-day window.

We aim to acknowledge refund requests within two business days. Once approved, the time for the money to reach your account is set by your bank or card issuer, and is typically five to ten business days.

9. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy removes any right you have under consumer law in your own country, including any statutory right to cancel a distance contract. Where those rights are more generous than this policy, they apply.
